PSA orders:
ARRIVED — The submission has been received by PSA.
ORDER VERIFICATION — Items and paperwork are checked against the order.
RESEARCH & IDENTIFICATION — Items are researched for accurate identification and labeling.
AUTHENTICATION & GRADING — Items are evaluated for authenticity and condition grades.
ENCAPSULATION — Items are sealed in holders.
HOLDER & LABEL REVIEW — Quality assurance inspects every holder and label.
GRADES READY — Grading is complete.
FINALIZING — PSA has finished. Your order is on its way back to us, and we’ll let you know when it’s ready for pickup or shipped.

CGC orders:
RECEIVED — CGC has counted the cards and entered the submission into its system.
SCHEDULED FOR GRADING — Each card has been described, checked and given an ID, and the order is waiting its turn for grading at its service level.
GRADING / ENCAPSULATION / IMAGING — Cards are authenticated, graded, sealed in holders, re-checked and photographed.
QUALITY CONTROL — Cards are inspected and approved before they’re packed for return.
FINALIZING — CGC has finished. Your order is on its way back to us, and we’ll let you know when it’s ready for pickup or shipped.

The grading process doesn’t adhere to rigid timeframe intervals. It’s not uncommon for an item to linger in a particular phase for a significant duration, then swiftly progress through the remaining stages. This is especially notable with autographed items, given their separate divisions for grading and autograph authentication. Nonetheless, you can trust that the grading company usually meets its advertised turnaround times, even if your items appear to be moving slowly through the process.

An order status labeled “Finalizing” primarily pertains to Market2Mint. This indicates that your order is being prepared for pickup in one of our upcoming runs. Market2Mint will notify you once your order is ready for pickup or when it has been shipped to your designated location.

Advertised turnaround times are stated in business days, excluding weekends, holidays, and shipping days. It’s important to note that additional services such as custom labels, autograph authentication, dual grading, and subgrades may extend the processing timeline. While grading companies strive to meet expected turnaround times, they are not contractually obligated to do so. Your patience and understanding are appreciated.

If PSA can’t assign a grade, the card comes back with one of these: N1 Evidence of Trimming · N2 Evidence of Restoration · N3 Evidence of Recoloration · N4 Questionable Authenticity · N5 Altered Stock · N6 Minimum Size Not Met · N7 Evidence of Cleaning · N8 Miscut from Factory · N9 Obscure Issue.

While uncommon, grading companies may occasionally mislabel cards with incorrect names, variations, or years. Should this happen to one of your cards, simply inform us, and we will promptly submit a label correction request on your behalf. This process is typically quick and free of charge. However, please note that we can only facilitate this service for cards submitted through Market2Mint.
